Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain’s Catalonia region, on the coast of northeastern Spain. Known for its art and architecture.

This was a short work trip added with a bit of pleasure with great company @angela_isar & @najat_dekkak

Limited with time we managed to see the following:

Basilica Sagrada Familia
Cathedral of Barcelona
Barceloneta Beach
Las Ramblas
Placa de Catalunya

Port Sani, Greece

Irrespective of the weather, Porto Sani’s range of complimentary activities meant that the resort is good value, even off season.

Between us, we enjoyed:
The luxurious spa
The well equipped gym
The Bear Grylls Survival Academy
The BMX Pump Track
The Treetop Adventures
Cycling
Table Tennis
Archery
Kids Club
A sunset cruise

Cancun, Mexico

I went on a seven day break, all inclusive break to Cancun with a couple of friends.

Following a great American Airlines flight on the way out, we had a nightmare of a transit through US immigration, and only just made our connection with 6 minutes to spare. Once we eventually got to Mexico, however I did have a lot fun. This was a different experience from my last trip to the region, which was a family holiday.

I spent my days doing water sports like jet skiing, parasailing, had a whole day at the expensive Xcaret Water Park, and explored the local markets and shopping malls. Going to La Vaquita nightclub in Cancun was most memorable for the journey back to the hotel by local bus, which all of sudden turned into an impromptu party-bus.

Sadly, I wasn’t impressed by our hotel, The Royal Solaris Cancun. The rooms and pool were clean enough, but the food was limited and lacking taste.

All in all, this holiday was a bit of a mixed bag for a variety of reasons. But there’s something to learn from every experience.
